A graduate of Albany Law School and admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, Peter began his career with the City of Albany’s Economic Development Bureau, where he worked on transactions tied to the redevelopment of many of the city’s historic downtown buildings. There, he gained hands-on experience structuring and closing commercial and government projects supported by SBA, bond, and development-fund programs.

A few years later, Peter joined his father, John L. Ford, in a residential closing and title insurance practice. Those formative years shaped both his technical skill and his professional values, instilling a deep respect for personal service, accountability, and integrity. When his father retired, Peter assumed full responsibility for the practice, guided by a simple philosophy: every file deserves personal, start-to-finish attention.

That mindset has defined his career. Peter approaches each transaction as a single point of accountability, ensuring that no detail is overlooked and no issue is allowed to linger. His clients and colleagues know him for his responsiveness, thoughtful problem-solving, and steady presence when matters become complex.
